Welcome to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Rosedale

FosterHeadShot_colorI am delighted and excited to welcome you through this medium to our parish community. You will discover this website serves as a window into our common life.

Since its founding in 1907, St. Peter’s continues to be a “lighthouse of faith, hope and love” to Rosedale and the surrounding communities.

As you visit the sections of this website, you will experience a joyful, spirit-filled, and diverse community of faith with a heart and passion for the mission of Jesus Christ. This passion is grounded in our baptismal covenant, as each member seeks to respond to God’s call as an agent of peace, justice and mercy in this hurting and secularized world.

Please know whatever the situation or circumstance in life, there is a place for you at St. Peter’s. I pray your virtual visit becomes an in person experience and St. Peter’s will be your home away from home. Come and join us. Welcome.

Fr. Steve Foster+
VI Rector
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Rosedale

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

As many of you are aware, the Coronavirus (COVID 19) is reaching pandemic proportions. We are taking precautionary measures by avoiding gatherings of persons preventing further transmission. With this in mind, all public worship/liturgies, meetings, daily offices etc. are suspended for two weeks or until further notice to mitigate large gatherings. I believe this is prudent for us at this time, especially as we maintaining safe boundaries etc. Moreover, we need to be our neighbors keeper and work for the best of each others welfare and common good. This is hard for us because we thrive on our community being together but we need to be cautious and safe. St. Peter’s will be open so persons can pray, but I am mindful and encourage us all to be mindful of each other’s space.. We will have the church open if folk so desire but there will be no liturgies.

For those who so desire, please join me as we pray the daily offices from www.missionstclare.com. Also please check our website, www.stpetersrosedale.org and our Facebook page for further updates.

Friends, it is hard and added stress but please share this information with friends and family.

May Almighty God bless us and keep us in His everlasting hands.

Grace and peace Fr. Foster+.
