Framing Passage: Ephesians 4:13-16
13 Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him, the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Called to grow and live by faith
Being committed to lifelong learning and study translates into putting what we believe into practice through our daily witness, sharing the good news of God in Christ.
Challenged to be hopeful
Being bearers of hope to each other and the surrounding communities urges us to advocate for justice and peace in the spirit of compassion and mercy.
Commissioned to love
Being agents of God’s redemptive and transforming love demands of us to see the imprint of Christ on each other’s faces. Thus, respecting the dignity of every human being is paramount. Wherever you are, whoever you are in life or on your faith journey, you are welcome here. You are loved, affirmed, and respected as a beloved child of God.
Committed to Service
It is being committed to serving together to build up the Body of Christ in God’s community.
